A second competition was announced for the design and construction of 62 comfortable schools. Applications started today. This was stated by acting. Chairman of the Board of Samruk-Kazyna Construction Gabit Malgazdarov in the walls of the Majilis. Applications are accepted electronically on the skcn.qaz.network online platform. For another 24 schools, the competition will be announced after changes are made to Government Decree No. 963.

Earlier, the results of the competition for the design and construction of 185 comfortable schools became known. Contractors have been identified for 118 facilities, 110 turnkey construction contracts have been concluded with them, the remaining 8 have been suspended due to complaints received. 52 lots were declared invalid, 15 more were cancelled.

In total, within the framework of the national project, it is planned to build about 400 comfortable schools. More than half of the objects will be handed over by the end of 2024, the rest in 2025. The project will create more than 800,000 new student places throughout the country in two shifts. Comfortable schools will be of 7 types, depending on the capacity: for 300, 600, 900, 1200, 1500, 2000, 2500 places. It should be noted that the final cost of schools will become known after the development of design estimates and the passage of state expertise.

Differences between comfortable schools and standard schools:

  • schools built in towns and villages will be identical;
  • the share of technical equipment will be 20%;
  • the number and area of ​​sports halls will increase by 1.5–2 times;
  • the total area of ​​the school will increase by 20%;
  • more classrooms, laboratories and other learning spaces;
  • separate training blocks for junior and senior level.

In addition, according to the plan, entry and exit control systems will be installed in each school, as well as an automatic door lock function in case of a terrorist threat.

The total budget of the pilot national project "Comfortable School" is 2.6 trillion tenge. 1 trillion 960 billion tenge was allocated from the republican budget, 646 billion tenge from the National Fund.
