On 25 September, Chairman of the Board of Samruk-Kazyna Construction JSC Maulena Aimanbetov visited a number of construction sites of comfortable schools during his working trip to Turkestan region.

Within the framework of the national project "Comfortable School" in Turkestan region will be built 63 educational institutions of new format for 49 thousand pupils in one shift (98 thousand in two shifts). This region is the leader in the number of schools under construction, as there is an acute shortage of pupil places due to dense population in the region.

One of the comfortable schools with 900 seats will be built in Dostyk village of Tolebi district. Aimanbetov instructed the general contractor Umirzak LLP to speed up work on preparing the site for construction. To date, the territory is not completely fenced, only 2 video surveillance cameras have been installed, the site passport and banners on the fences are also missing, and temporary power and water supply networks have not been connected. Moreover, it is necessary to speed up the process of approving the planting, facade and roof of the school with the local executive bodies.

Also, the head of Samruk-Kazyna Construction familiarised himself with the preparations for the construction of a comfortable school for 300 children in the village of Shayan in Baidibek district. The general contractor is "Tamyz Kurylys BBK" LLP. As it turned out, on this site the preparation for construction works is also poor. There were also comments on the planting of the building. Aimanbetov instructed the chief architect of the design organisation to reconsider the location of the main entrance and to submit several options for approval in the near future so that the access to the school would be free from all four sides. There is also an existing rural stadium next to the school, which should be reconstructed as part of the design of the educational institution.

Maulen Aimanbetov visited the construction site of a comfortable school for 900 children in Sholakkorgan village of Sozak district. The general contractor is "Kaaratau LTD" LLP. There are questions about the speed and quality of preparation for construction. There is an existing educational institution next to the school under construction. It was decided to transfer students and staff of the school to another educational institution for the period of construction of the new school. The head of "Samruk-Kazyna Construction" ordered to ensure free access to the building. This factor should definitely be taken into account when planting the school.

At all sites, the issue of high-speed internet connection should be resolved as soon as possible. As Aimanbetov stated earlier, All comfortable schools should be provided with Internet speed of at least 100 Mbit/sec. (https://skcn.kz/en/news/news/1265)

For example, a comfortable school under construction in Dostyk village needs 1.8km of fibre-optic communication lines (FOCL), while the distance to the facilities in Shayan and Sholakkorgan villages is 1.58km and 50m respectively. The Chairman instructed to work out this issue with Kazakhtelecom JSC, as the Internet is necessary not only in the learning process, but also for round-the-clock video surveillance of the construction of schools.

It is worth noting that during the visit to all the sites were also present experts of technical supervision, which control the construction process at all stages of the project, including quality, timing, cost, acceptance of completed work and commissioning of facilities. According to the law, any socially significant object is checked by technical supervision during construction.

Out of 63 schools planned under the National Project in Turkestan Province, 29 educational institutions are planned to be put into operation next year. 34 schools will open their doors in 2025.
