Samruk-Kazyna Construction summarised the results of the first tenders for procurement of engineering services for technical supervision within the framework of the national project "Comfortable School".

According to the results of tenders 80 lots (72%) were held, 32 lots (28%) were not held. A total of 27 winning companies (36%) out of 76 companies that took part in the tenders were determined for 18 tenders.

Earlier on 24 August 2023, Samruk-Kazyna Construction announced 112 lots in 19 regions for the procurement of technical supervision services for the construction of comfortable schools with a capacity of 300, 600 and 900 pupils. The tenders received 485 applications from 76 potential suppliers.

The results protocols are published on the procurement web portal skcn.qaz.network. Re-tenders for technical supervision for 32 failed lots will be announced shortly.

The companies were given extremely high requirements, such as having an accreditation certificate, an accredited construction laboratory and qualified specialists. Also, the company must not have litigation, tax and other debts. The organisation should not be subject to bankruptcy, liquidation and rehabilitation procedures. It is obligatory to have work experience.

When selecting suppliers, the amount of taxes paid over the last 5 years, the area of commissioned social facilities and apartment complexes over the last 5 years were taken into account.

To ensure fulfilment of contractual obligations and quality of engineering services, the supplier is obliged to provide a bank guarantee in the amount of 3% of the contract amount within 20 days after signing.

The construction of each comfortable school will be monitored by 3 technical supervision experts (for general construction standards, engineering networks and technological equipment). They will provide a weekly report on the quality and timing of construction, which will be uploaded to the electronic cross-platform.
