Samruk-Kazyna Construction hosted a working meeting with participation of Maulen Aimanbetov, Chairman of the Board, and Darkhan Satybaldy, Akim of Turkestan region. The parties discussed problematic issues arising in the implementation of the national project in the region.

Within the framework of the pilot national project "Comfortable School" it is planned to build the most schools in Turkestan region, as there is a shortage of school places in the region due to its dense population. By the end of 2025, 63 educational institutions of new format for 49 thousand places in one shift will appear in the cities and villages of the region.

According to the approved schedule, 29 facilities will be put into operation already this year, 19 of which are planned to be commissioned by September 1. At the second stage of realization 34 schools will open their doors in 2025.

In the course of the meeting they discussed issues concerning the pace of contractors. For example, the local company "Ar Kua Group" LLP, responsible for the construction of 2 schools, is already behind schedule due to the slow pace of work. Therefore, it was decided to ensure joint control and manual management of the process both from the side of the customer represented by Samruk-Kazyna Construction, and from the side of local executive bodies by holding weekly meetings.

As a result of joint dialog we managed to find a solution to all problematic issues. In general, thanks to the personal control of the head of the region, the implementation of the national project in Turkestan region is going according to plan. This is the only region where the conclusions of the state expert examination of the design and construction plans for the construction of all 29 engineering infrastructure networks to the sites of comfortable schools have been received, which gives confidence in their timely commissioning.

The head of Samruk-Kazyna Construction noted the importance of timely provision of future schools with engineering and communication infrastructure. It is necessary to take appropriate measures to connect gas, water, electricity, heat, internet, as well as free access to schools from all four sides.

Aimanbetov also called for further fruitful cooperation, particularly in the issue of allocation of land plots for schools, which are scheduled for delivery in 2025. As noted above, in 2024-2025, 34 more comfortable schools will be built in the region as part of the second phase of the National Project. To date, 30 sites have been allocated, and the remaining 4 have problems. As a result, Darkhan Satybaldy instructed the head of the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning to solve the issues as soon as possible and bring everything in line.

Akim assured that the MIO will make every effort for the successful implementation of the President's instruction at the local level. Next week, the head of the region plans to hold a large meeting with the participation of all contractors responsible for the construction and equipping of comfortable schools.
