On April 13, an excursion to modern schools built according to new standards was organized for project managers, site supervisors, engineers of TVET, technical and author's supervision of contractors of comfortable schools. After that, an enlarged meeting was held in the walls of Samruk-Kazyna Construction JSC with the participation of representatives of Atameken NPP, Ministry of Education and consortium leaders.

The purpose of the national project is to eliminate emergency schools, three-shift education and shortage of pupil places. This year, to address these issues, it is planned to commission 98 educational facilities by September 1. It is important to get a positive conclusion on design and estimate documentation of these schools by May 15. In order to fulfill the priority task, the head of SK Construction will hold working meetings with representatives of the state expertise, specialists in the regions and the central office of the Company. In parallel, work will be carried out on the design documentation of 110 schools, which will open their doors in the middle of December. During the meeting the Deputy Chairman of the Board Amangeldy Sattarov reported on the stages of realization of the National Project

"Currently, out of 208 sites, 96 sites have 1 or more floors built. Foundation pouring has been completed on 57 sites, and on another 29 sites preparatory work for the foundation is underway. 26 schools are behind schedule, where it is necessary to accelerate the pace", - said Amangeldy Sattarov.

Since February of this year, an audit of compliance with industrial safety was conducted at the sites of comfort schools in four regions. The audit in Zhambyl, Turkestan, Kyzylorda regions and Shymkent city revealed more than 500 violations, most of which relate to the lack of protective clothing, signal vests, warning and prohibiting safety signs, and speed limits at the site.

"In construction, the most important thing is to comply with safety regulations. Therefore, it is necessary to provide the sites with everything necessary according to the current legislation," emphasized the Deputy Chairman of the Management Board.

Effective control over the construction process is carried out by technical supervision of comfortable schools. Samruk-Kazyna Development LLP is responsible for this work. General Director Nurlybek Uteubaev joined the working visit of the Chairman of the Board of Samruk-Kazyna Construction JSC Maulen Aimanbetov. During the visit to the construction sites, certain violations were identified that require immediate attention. Among the identified problems - incomplete maintenance of executive documentation. In some cases, construction and installation works are ahead of the documentation process. In addition, there were cases of poor quality of concrete pouring works in winter, which led to freezing of monolithic structures.

"It is necessary to pay increased attention to the quality of construction at every stage," Uteubaev emphasizes. "Identifying and eliminating defects is our common task. We will work on improving control mechanisms to ensure the safety and durability of the schools."

Modern furniture, light shades, beautiful and interesting design, reasonable use of spaces, comfortable co-working space and dream library. At the enlarged meeting to the attention of the contractors of comfortable schools were presented 3D overview of the future educational institutions. But it is not too late to make changes for improvement. Maulen Aimanbetov noted that proposals from builders will be necessarily considered. It should be noted that the design of schools will differ depending on the capacity. For example, all educational institutions for 300 seats will be identical, both in cities and villages. This principle applies to all schools according to their capacity.

Significant attention in the implementation of the national project is paid to the support of Kazakhstani production. The share of local content in school construction reaches 70%, and the use of local construction materials reaches 90%. In large cities such as Astana, Almaty and Shymkent, fiber cement boards are used in facing the facades of new school buildings. While in other regions travertine, facing bricks and linear panels produced at local enterprises are preferred. This has become possible due to fruitful cooperation with Atameken.

For its part, the Chamber of Entrepreneurs undertook to control the prices of Kazakhstani business, in order to avoid speculation and unreasonable increase in the cost of goods. As noted at the meeting such facts already exist.

It is necessary to intensify work on conclusion of contracts on purchase of furniture and equipment for educational institutions, modern format. Such work has been done by 23 general contractors in 12 regions of the country. 25 enterprises have already started a large-scale process of production of furniture for comfortable schools.
