As Kasym-Jomart Tokayev was informed, the new schools have created a comfortable environment for the educational process. In particular, security has been ensured on the territory and inside the facilities by installing video surveillance and entrance control systems, placing classrooms in separate blocks for elementary and high school students, and preparing the necessary conditions for children with special educational needs.
At present, finishing works are being completed, school furniture and equipment are being installed, and the territory is being landscaped.
Then the head of state visited school No. 101 in the Nura district, where 4,000 students will study in two shifts in natural sciences, mathematics and social sciences and humanities.
The President familiarised himself with the teaching and creative rooms, as well as the sports and assembly halls of the school.
Kasym-Jomart Tokayev was told about the possibilities of the new school to develop creative skills, study digital technologies and the use of artificial intelligence, implement the ‘Reading School’ project, and integrate robotics into the curriculum.
Maulen Aimanbetov, Chairman of the Board of Samruk-Kazyna Construction JSC, reported on the implementation of the Comfortable School national project.
Akim of Astana Zhenis Kasymbek informed the President on the development of secondary education in the capital. According to him, 24 schools are under construction within the framework of the Comfortable School national project.
Minister of Education Gani Beisembayev reported on preparations for the new school year. To date, 302 schools for 536,000 pupils are under construction across the country. Major repairs are being carried out in 280 educational institutions for 220 thousand seats. On the instructions of the Head of State, 1.7 million children will be provided with free meals.
