Members of the Government participated in the opening ceremonies of comfortable schools in Astana
On Knowledge Day in Astana, 9 educational institutions built within the framework of the pilot national project ‘Comfortable School’ were opened.
Roman Sklyar, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, took part in the solemn ceremony at school No. 99. The school building is located at the intersection of Kabanbai Batyr and Syganak streets. There are 1200 pupils in total.
Roman Sklyar wished the children successful studies and great heights. He noted that the school has spacious classrooms, equipped robotics classrooms, recreation areas and laboratories. The assembly hall, physics, biology and chemistry rooms are equipped with modern equipment.
Aida Balaeva, Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, took part in the opening ceremony of school No. 104. She congratulated the students on the start of the new academic year and wished them success in their studies.
The head of the Ministry of Culture noted that the peculiarity of the ‘Comfortable School’ project is its unified construction standard, which takes into account all the necessary requirements to create a functional and safe educational environment.
‘All members of the Government were also present at the opening of schools under the Comfortable Schools project. Together with parents and teachers, I shared the joy of the first-graders‘ first meeting with the school,’ Balaeva added.
Comfort school No. 104 for 2,000 students is located at 16 Zhoshy khan. As in all comfortable schools, it has separate blocks for primary and high school students, enhanced security measures, modern technical equipment and barrier-free space for children with special educational needs.
The pilot national project ‘Comfortable School’ in the sphere of education is implemented by direct order of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kasym-Jomart Tokayev. Samruk-Kazyna Construction JSC is a single directorate responsible for the construction of schools.
