On the eve of the Republic Day, the first educational institution within the framework of the national project ‘Comfortable School’ was opened in Turkestan region. The school for 2,000 students in one shift was built in the Zhanja Qala neighbourhood of Turkestan city.

‘On the initiative of the Head of State, the national project ‘Comfortable School’ has been adopted in the country to date, within the framework of which modern educational institutions are being built. The initiative is aimed at solving emergency and three-shift schools, as well as eliminating the shortage of pupil places. This year, 29 comfortable schools with a total capacity of 17,800 places are being built in the region. Today we are opening the first of them,’ said Darkhan Satybaldy.
The school fully complies with the new education standards. The school has about 100 classrooms, including a robotics room and a STEM-lab for in-depth study of engineering, IT and natural sciences. To ensure the comfort of students, the educational facility has 2 large and 2 small gyms, a choreography room, a spacious assembly hall and a large canteen.
As of today, about 1000 students have been admitted to the school and the admission of documents continues. The educational process will start from the second quarter.
