A comfortable school was inaugurated in the ‘Uly dala’ neighbourhood of Taraz city
The 1,200-seat educational institution built on behalf of the head of state within the framework of the national project ‘Comfortable School’ opened its doors to students today.
By order of Samruk-Kazyna Construction JSC, the general contractor/leader of the consortium Integra Construction KZ LLP fully completed the construction and equipment of the facility in 14 months. Head of Zhambyl region Yerbol Karashukeyev attended the opening ceremony of the school.
‘A nation that thinks about the future, first of all pays special attention to the sphere of education. In this regard, as part of the celebration of the 85th anniversary of Zhambyl region, the school built on behalf of the Head of State Kasym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev is opened for the benefit of the population. Earlier the same schools were opened in Sarykemer village of Baizak district and in Baiterek microdistrict of Taraz city. The national project ‘Comfortable School’ is being implemented in all regions of the country. This project is aimed at eliminating the deficit of pupil places, three-shift education and emergency schools,’ said the regional akim in his welcoming speech.
The comfortable school, located in the new 15-micro-district ‘Ұлы dala’, meets all modern requirements of comfort and safety. The total area of the 3-storey building is 12.7 thousand m².
Video surveillance cameras and panic buttons have been installed here. There are 70 classrooms with interactive whiteboards, a canteen with 231 seats, an assembly hall with 246 seats, 2 gyms, 2 language laboratories, advanced STEM-labs, robotics rooms, a choreography room, recreation and co-working areas. There are also classrooms for additional education. Special cabinets have been installed to store belongings and textbooks.
The school is fully equipped with video surveillance cameras, has a lift for children with disabilities, as well as ramps, special spacious toilets and rooms for inclusive education.
This will be the third educational institution in the region to be built under the Comfortable School National Project. To date, two comfortable schools have been commissioned in Zhambyl region: for 600 seats in the village of Sarykemer in Baizak district and for 1200 seats in the 13-micro-district ‘Baiterek’ of the regional centre.
