New standard of education: Two more comfortable schools opened in Almaty region
Two new comfortable schools were inaugurated in Kaskelen town and Kemertogan village of Karasai district, Almaty region. Modern educational institutions are designed for 1500 students each, providing high standards of education and comfort.
For the residents of Kaskelen city this event was a real holiday. In the conditions of annual population growth and shortage of schools, the implementation of the national project ‘Comfortable School’ allowed to solve an important social problem. In the centre of Karasai district a school for 1500 seats, which meets all modern requirements, was put into operation. Akim of Almaty region Marat Sultangaziev and Chairman of the Board of Samruk-Kazyna Construction JSC Maulen Aimanbetov attended the opening ceremony.
The normative term of construction of the school for 1500 places is 22 months, but we have completed the object only for 11 months. Construction works took place before your eyes. The work was done very well, and the level of equipment of the school is difficult to describe in words. We relied on the experience of European countries to equip each classroom with the necessary equipment and furniture. The main thing is that there are no differences between urban and rural schools in terms of equipment, space and interior decoration,’ said Maulen Aimanbetov.
The construction contractor was BIGlobal LLP. In the new school, preschoolers, primary, middle and high school students study in separate blocks, which allows creating the most comfortable conditions for all.
One more comfortable school for 1500 places was opened in the village of Kemertogan of Karasai district. Earlier in aul there was a school for 1200 places, but the number of pupils exceeded 4300, which forced to organise the educational process in three shifts. This had a negative impact on the quality of education and comfort of pupils. Residents of the settlement are immensely happy that the problem has been solved thanks to the national project ‘Comfortable School’.
Akim of Almaty region Marat Sultangaziev noted the importance of the new school and congratulated the residents on the significant day.
Dear teachers, parents, I congratulate you on the opening of the new school. I am sure that in the future our children will reach great heights, thanks to the knowledge gained within these walls. Let me thank the united directorate for design and construction of ‘Samruk-Kazyna Construction’ JSC and the contracting organisation for quality work,’ said the head of the region.
Construction works were performed by Promkomplekt-B LLP. The area of the three-storey building is 15 thousand square metres. In the construction of comfortable schools, mainly domestic materials were used, and furniture, including desks, chairs, blackboards and cabinets, was produced by local manufacturers. Thus, the project not only solved the problem of three-shift education, but also contributed to the development of Kazakhstani business.
The Comfortable School project provides for the complete equipping of an educational institution with the necessary furniture, equipment and multimedia complexes. The schools include a robotics room, a STEM laboratory, a choreography room and several workshops for technology lessons. Co-working areas, a drinking water fountain, and lockers for personal belongings are available for student convenience.
The school grounds include basketball and volleyball courts, a vorkout area, national play areas, and playgrounds for preschoolers.
