The third comfortable school was opened today in Turkestan Oblast. The new building, located on Street No. 42 in an actively developing area of the city, is designed to educate 2,000 students in one shift.

At the opening ceremony the head of the region Darhan Satybaldy noted the importance of this project for the development of the city.

‘Every sixth child in our country is a resident of Turkestan. Therefore, we have never left the sphere of education without attention. Within the framework of the national project ‘Comfortable School’, 29 educational institutions are planned to be built in the region. Three of them have already been put into operation. The work in this direction will be continued. The schools are fully equipped with the necessary equipment, furniture and didactic materials,’ said the Akim of Turkestan region.

The school is built in accordance with modern standards. It has about one hundred classrooms, including a robotics room to prepare students for IT and engineering fields, as well as a STEM-lab for in-depth study of natural sciences. To ensure student comfort, the school has two large and two small gymnasiums, a choreography room, a spacious assembly hall and a large canteen. This is the result of the teamwork of the designers, builders, the Unified Directorate and the central and local executive bodies who toiled day and night putting in their best efforts.

‘It is a very spacious and modern school. You will see it for yourself from the first minutes of your visit. Most importantly, the level of equipment of schools being built both in the city and in remote villages is equally high. We express our gratitude to Karatas Mining for the quality work done in a short period of time. We are confident that we will graduate talented and qualified citizens of our country’, - said the Chairman of the Board of Samruk-Kazyna Construction JSC Maulen Aimanbetov.

To date, more than 800 students and 50 teachers have been enrolled in the school. Acceptance of documents continues. The start of the educational process is scheduled for the third quarter.
