The problem of school shortage in Balkhash has been solved
Today, 29 December, the construction of a new modern school was completed in the Kazybek Nurzhanov microdistrict of Balkhash. The facility was built as part of the national project ‘Comfortable School’ initiated by the President of the country. The school, designed for 900 pupils in one shift, was built by Balkhash Zhibek Zholy LLP.
Azamat Tayzhanov, Deputy Akim of Karaganda region on energy, housing and communal services, construction, transport and roads, attended the technical opening of the school. He noted the high level of readiness of the facility and its equipment with all necessary infrastructure.
Previously, the school, designed for 1000 pupils, accepted up to 1350 children, which created difficulties for the educational process. With the commissioning of the new building this problem will be completely solved. According to specialists, pupils will start studying in the new building already in the third quarter. To date, 63 teachers have been hired, and 825 pupils have already been registered. The rest of the children will also be distributed as preparations are finalised.
The new three-storey building is divided into separate blocks for primary and upper grades. The school is equipped with modern equipment. There is a STEM-lab, robotics rooms, a choreography room, sports and gymnasiums, and a spacious canteen. There is also a Digital Tutor digital creative school, a language lab, maths literacy projects and neural networks.
It should be noted that this is the last school commissioned under the national project in Karaganda region this year. In total, 10 comfortable schools are being built in the region, designed for 7100 pupils in one shift. Six of them are planned to be opened next year.
