A step towards comfortable learning: new schools opened in densely populated areas of Kostanay
The long-awaited event took place on 15 January. The temples of knowledge opened in the new, densely populated districts of Bereke and Aeroport. Previously, the educational organisations located there could hardly cope with the load: classes were overcrowded.
Construction of new secondary schools No. 31 and No. 32 was carried out within the framework of the national project of Samruk-Kazyna Construction JSC. The project is aimed at eliminating emergency facilities, three-shift education and shortage of pupil places in secondary education organisations throughout the country.
The schools are identical in equipment, but differ in capacity: Berek can educate 1200 children, while Aeroport - 900.
The new schools have all the necessary conditions for the development of pupils' abilities. Separate blocks for junior, middle and senior levels are fully equipped in accordance with international standards. The classrooms are equipped with computer equipment and interactive whiteboards. Foreign language classes are equipped with language laboratory systems. Chemistry, biology, physics, computer science, robotics, and STEAM-labs have been prepared for the development of students' research culture.
The schools have several gyms, choreography studios and cosy canteens with new equipment. Lifts and ramps have been installed for children with special educational needs. The labour training workshops have modern machine tools and sewing equipment.
The school libraries have purchased a large collection of fiction in Kazakh. There are also reading rooms and comfortable co-working areas for pupils and teachers.
The school in the Bereke neighbourhood started its work on January 13, and more than 800 pupils are already studying here.
- All those who wish to attend are enrolled. Applications continue to come in. The teaching staff has been recruited: 54 teachers are working, but we still have a few vacancies,’ said Orynkul Bayakhmetova, director of School No. 31.
The educational institution is warm and cosy, everything is in its place.
- We are glad that there is a new school not far from our home. My daughter is in the 4th grade, and previously she went to a school in the Yubileyny neighbourhood. In her class there were 36 people, and here there are only 26. It's spacious, fresh, a great school,’ said parent Damir Akhtyamov.
Recall that in November in the region under the national project ‘Comfortable School’ has already opened two educational institutions - in the village of Zarechnoye and in Arkalyk.
