Today Samruk-Kazyna Construction held a seminar on ‘Effective project management in the organisation’. The speaker was Mikhail Dubovik - managing partner of Project Praktika Group of Companies, assessor of all-Russian competitions ‘Project Olympus’ and ‘Best Project of the Year’, as well as representative of the Russian Federation in the International Organisation for Standardisation ISO (TC258 Project Management).

The seminar was part of the initiative of M. Aimanbetov, Chairman of the Board of Samruk-Kazyna Construction - Project Management Team, aimed at improving the professional competence of employees and automating the management processes of large construction projects. Special attention was paid to systematisation of participants' knowledge and introduction of modern project management methodologies.

By the way, as part of this initiative, the Chairman of the Management Board focuses on the introduction of digitalisation into all business processes of the company, including maximum automation of construction processes. In this direction, the e-qurylys system has already been implemented, and BIM technologies are being used in the implementation of the Comfortable School pilot national project.

The seminar consisted of two blocks, each of which lasted three hours. The first block was attended by the company's top managers, while the second block was attended by the heads of structural divisions and departments. A total of 29 employees received training and gained valuable knowledge about project activities, modern trends in project management and the role of senior management in their successful implementation.

The seminar programme covered a wide range of issues:
* Modern trends in project management: globalisation, digitalisation and speed of change.
* Roles and responsibilities of project participants.
* Organisational structures of project activities.
* Typical management mistakes and ways to prevent them.
* Life cycles of development projects.
* Importance of certification of specialists and improvement of their competences.

Mikhail Dubovik shared real cases and best practices, which allowed the participants to see project management from a new perspective.
