The South Korean corporation Doosan will build a 1000 MW power plant in the Turkestan region. The construction of the station was transferred to the trust management of Samruk-Kazyna Construction in September last year. In March, a contractor was selected through an open tender. It was a consortium of the Kazakh construction company Bazis Construction and the South Korean corporation DOOSAN ENERBILITY, which owns the main technologies for the production of boilers, turbines and generators.

- This is a very important project that will increase the reliability of Kazakhstan's energy system. The new power plant will independently and uninterruptedly supply social and life-supporting facilities with energy. The total investment will be over 600 billion tenge. About two thousand jobs will be created for the construction and, accordingly, about two thousand specialists and workers will be involved. After the commissioning of the facility, more than three hundred permanent jobs will be created, - said the head of Samruk-Kazyna Construction, Maulen Aimanbetov.

This week a delegation of Samruk-Kazyna Construction, headed by the Chairman of the Board, arrived in South Korea. As part of a two-day visit, company representatives first visited the Doosan Group office in Seoul, then went to the city of Changwon in the southeast of the country. This is one of the largest industrial complexes. It is here that the production facilities of such Korean giants as Samsung, LG and Hyundai are located. Doosan Group's main factories are also located in Changwon. It produces power equipment, construction equipment and diesel engines. Of particular interest was the Doosan Enerbility plant.

The company produces parts for gas turbines using 3D printers. Metal powder is used for their printing. Eight 3D printers are installed in the factory, which is about three basketball courts in size. They are able to manufacture components of various sizes. These components will be used in the construction of a power plant in the Turkestan region.

The guests were also shown the Doosan Group Museum. It is located in the capital, in the Bundang tower and consists of eight exhibition halls. The museum was created to preserve the rich history of the corporation. Doosan was founded in 1896, each exposition tells about the stages of the company's development at different times. Doosan strives to contribute to the national economy and life of not only the Korean people, but the entire Asian region, while maintaining the mission of the oldest company in Korea.

Recall that on March 20, a Doosan delegation visited Astana. The head of SK Construction met with the chief operations officer of Doosan Heavy Construction, Yunin Jun. Then the parties discussed the forthcoming construction of the station.
