As part of the pilot national project “Comfortable School”, 18 educational institutions of a new format will be built in Shymkent.

The construction of 12 schools will begin this year, with commissioning scheduled for the end of 2024. The remaining 6 schools will be completed by the end of 2025.

Last Saturday, as part of a working trip to Shymkent, the head of Samruk-Kazyna Construction, Maulen Aimanbetov, and the director of the department for the implementation of the national project, Yerbol Akhmetov, together with representatives of the city administration, visited sites where the construction of comfortable schools is planned.

Within the framework of the national project, a secondary school for 1,200 students will be built in the Ulagat microdistrict. At the moment, the contracting organization AK Ordasy Corporation LLP is preparing the site for construction. However, the site allocated for construction has limitations in area, which may cause problems in the design of access roads. Earlier, Aimanbetov repeatedly emphasized that the entrance to comfortable schools should be free from all sides, which is extremely important to ensure the necessary level of comfort and safety for children.

Nurbol Zhunisbekov, head of the Department of Architecture, Urban Planning and Land Relations, said that, according to the instructions of the city akim, adjacent plots will be connected to the construction site to ensure free passage to the building.

The head of SK Construction also inspected the construction sites of schools for 1,200 places in the Turan-2 and Yugo-Vostok microdistricts. As part of the inspection, areas were identified that require additional elaboration: on a site in the Turan-2 microdistrict, it is necessary to design a road from the side of the main entrance of the future educational institution, and in the South-East, the land requires leveling. The Chairman of the Board gave relevant instructions to responsible persons and representatives of contractors.
