Amirzhan Zholtay, Chief Manager of the Rental Payments Monitoring Department of Samruk-Kazyna Construction JSC, became the winner of the project competition as part of the team.

In 2022, the Samruk-Kazyna Foundation approved a new youth policy, where the emphasis is on young and ambitious employees with a great future. For them, a program for the development of young leaders "Zheti Kadam" was developed and implemented. Its practical application began in November last year in Turkestan, where at the youth forum of the Fund's group of companies, 49 of the best were selected from 200 participants, among which was Amirzhan Zholtay.

“We were divided into seven teams. Each team was assigned two experienced mentors from among the presidential youth personnel reserve. We completed 7 training modules in seven cities of Kazakhstan. We were taught leadership, personal effectiveness, project management, financial management, safety culture and oratory,” said Amirzhan Zholtay.

Each team was given the task to develop the most effective project with minimal costs. Teams consisting of specialists from the companies of the group have been preparing for the defense of projects for seven months. The jury of the final stage included members of the Board of Directors and heads of the Fund's portfolio companies. Each entry must meet the following criteria:

  • scalability;
  • economic expediency;
  • Compliance with ESG principles;
  • Practical use.

“The project of our team is called “Reducing the hydrocarbon footprint in enterprises”. According to the results of the competition among 7 teams, our project was recognized as the best. For me, this is a great honor. It is gratifying that young specialists are given the opportunity to show themselves,” Amirzhan shared his joy.

The winners will have to implement their project in one of the group's companies within two years. It should be noted that more than 80,000 specialists under the age of 35 work in the Samruk-Kazyna group of companies. Special attention is paid to them in order to use the potential of young personnel as efficiently as possible.
