Chairman of the Board of Samruk-Kazyna Construction JSC threatened to terminate the contract to the contractor of comfortable school for 300 seats in Ushtobe village of Bukhar-Zhyrau district of Karaganda region. He stated this during his working visit to the region on 29 September. During a visit to the construction site, Maulen Aimanbetov criticised the work of Astana-Koktem S LLP, as the company is noticeably behind schedule.

"The pace of preparatory work and mobilisation of equipment is weak. I give time until Tuesday. Until October 3, organise work in two shifts, speed up all processes, mobilise additional equipment, attract more specialists and workers to catch up with the deadlines as soon as possible. Otherwise we will raise the issue of cancellation of the contract," said the head of Samruk-Kazyna Construction, addressing the representative of the contractor.

AN Groups LLP also fell under the criticism of the Chairman. The company is building a comfortable school for 1200 seats in the neighbourhood "Golubye Ponds" of Karaganda city. As it turned out, the Partnership is late in filling out and submitting executive documentation.

"You don't do the executive documentation on time. If you don't correct it in the near future, we will stop all work until all the papers are in order. We need to move away from the old ways of working, when construction was carried out without documentation. We also need to speed things up. Work in two shifts, as winter is approaching," Aimanbetov said.

Meanwhile, the head of Samruk-Kazyna Construction has halted construction work on a school at Nura Station in the village of G. Mustafina. The reason is "floating" soils and deficiencies in geological surveys. Maulen Aimanbetov instructed representatives of the contractor Stink TFC LLP and SK Construction employees together with Karaganda GIIZ and K specialists to conduct additional geological surveys.

He also visited the construction site of a comfortable school for 1200 seats in the "Gulder" neighbourhood, where the contractor is "Stink TFC" LLP. Unlike others, this construction company is ahead of schedule, but the main problem is the densely populated neighbourhood. Due to the limited area of the allocated site, the issue of ensuring free access to the educational institution is acute.

There is a similar problem in the Kendala neighbourhood, where BiGlobal LLP will build a comfortable school for 2,000 pupils. Aimanbetov instructed the design organisation to revise the master plan of the territory in terms of equipping the school's sports ground. It is necessary to make the site of correct rectangular configuration by withdrawing and joining adjacent land plots. According to the President, it is necessary to accommodate all the playing fields, sports equipment and other important facilities.

Within the framework of the national project "Comfortable School" in the region it is planned to build 18 objects of secondary education. Construction of 10 comfortable schools will start this year. They will be put into operation in 2024. The remaining 8 schools will open their doors in 2025. Successful implementation of the national project will create 12.5 thousand additional pupil places throughout the region.

Karaganda region became the final point of the working trip of the Chairman of the Board of Samruk-Kazyna Construction. For a fortnight Maulen Aimanbetov travelled several thousand kilometres by car, visiting a total of 8 regions: Almaty, Zhambyl, Turkestan, Kyzylorda, Ulytau and Karaganda regions, as well as the cities of Almaty and Shymkent, where he personally got acquainted with the progress of the national project implementation on the ground and met with the first leaders of the regions to solve problematic issues.
