Chairman of the Board Maulen Aimanbetov and the head of the region Marat Akhmetzhanov discussed the implementation of the national project "Comfortable School" in the region.

They toured the construction site of a 1,200-seat school in the village of Akmol, Tselinograd district, 30 kilometres from the capital.

Aimanbetov spoke in detail about the main differences between comfortable schools and ordinary secondary schools. According to him, the area of new educational facilities will increase by 15-20 per cent, while technical equipment will increase 4 times. The Chairman of the Board also asked the head of the region to assist in the selection of furniture for modern educational institutions of the new format.

"Educators know children's preferences better. Before that, specially created furniture commissions in each region identified companies that meet all the standards. Now it is necessary to select the optimal models for each type of furniture and give us a ready list, and we will include it in the school's design plans," said the Chairman of the Management Board.

Akim of Akmola region Marat Akhmetzhanov assured that this issue will be under his personal control. He had previously commented on the implementation of the national project during a meeting with representatives of Samruk-Kazyna Construction and contractors.

"This is a common cause, there should be no trifles here," Akhmetzhanov said then and instructed to ensure timely development of projects to bring engineering infrastructure to schools being built under the pilot national project.

Within the framework of the national project "Comfortable School" in Akmola region until 2025 it is planned to build 18 educational facilities for 22 thousand students.

In 2023-2024 it is planned to build 9 schools for 12,200 places. They will appear in Tselinograd district and Kokshetau city. In 2024-2025, 9 more schools for 10,400 pupils will be built in Arshalyn, Burabai, Tselinograd and Shortanda districts, in the cities of Koshy and Kokshetau.
