В ходе рабочей поездки по южным регионам 29-30 марта председатель Правления Samruk-Kazyna Construction Маулен Айманбетов посетил строительные площадки комфортных школ в Алматинской области.

Over two days, the head of SKCN toured all the educational facilities under construction, and there are 26 of them in the region. As a result, problematic issues were solved and several important decisions were made. Absolutely all contractors were instructed to organize work in 2-3 shifts.

In connection with critically low rates and irresponsible attitude it was decided to terminate the contract with SHEBERBUILD company on construction of comfortable school for 600 places in Koktal city. This contractor won the tender for the construction of 5 educational institutions in the region, but for all 5 objects (in the villages of Satay, Karasu, Tonkeris, Zhalkamys and Koktal) the contracts were terminated unilaterally, and the construction was transferred to the companies that took the second place according to the results of competitive procedures.

"You have overstayed all conceivable and unthinkable deadlines on all objects. We cannot wait any longer, so we have terminated all contracts with you. We will involve an independent company to assess the scope of work performed. According to its conclusion and acts of completed work for all accepted volumes, the new contractor will provide a full payment for all accepted volumes up to the last tiyn, " Aimanbetov explained.

He emphasized that the relationship between contracting organizations and the customer should not affect ordinary construction workers.

"All qualified, responsible specialists and workers, in particular local residents, should keep their places, because there is no fault of the builders here. These are our compatriots, who feed their families by honest labor, so they should not be left without work" , - addressed the head of SKCN to the head of the new contracting organization "Company Stroy Industriya" LLP.

A few more important assignments and decisions based on the results of site visits:

• all comfortable schools should be provided with a bus stop for safe boarding and disembarkation of children, anti-vandal fencing should be provided, parking lots and access roads with pockets, stops, street lighting should be organized, and procedures for buying and withdrawing land plots should be completed together with local executive bodies;
• contractors should as soon as possible identify responsible employees to enter data and documentation into the E-Qurylys information system and start their training. From May 1, the construction of comfortable schools will be fully managed and controlled through this system;
• contractors should also start concluding contracts for the supply of school furniture manufactured in Kazakhstan, as well as technological equipment. All decisions on equipping educational institutions should be previously agreed with the Department of Education of the region;
• Samruk-Kazyna Construction JSC should be provided with an approved schedule of off-take contracts with domestic manufacturers of facade materials, furniture, construction materials and equipment;
• design companies in master plans of comfortable schools should consider additional playgrounds and sports grounds instead of empty areas with green areas and lawn.

In Almaty region under the pilot national project "Comfortable School", 9 educational institutions will open their doors. 9 educational institutions will open their doors by the beginning of the school year. A total of 26 modern schools are planned to be commissioned in the region this year:

Karasai district:

• 1,500 seats in the village of Kokozek;
• 1200 seats in the village of Koshmambet;
• 1,200 seats in Yeltai village;
• 1,500 places in Almalybak village;
• 1,500 places in the town of Kaskelen;
• 1200 seats in Dolan village;
• 900 seats in Bulakty village;
• for 1500 places in Kemertogan village;

Zhambyl district:

• for 900 places in Kargaly village;
• 600 places in Sarybai bi village;
• 1,500 places in Uzynagash village;

Yenbekshikazakh district:

• for 600 places in Almaly village;
• 900 places in Satay village;
• 600 places in Ashchysay village;
• 300 places in Karazhota village;

Talgar district:

• for 600 places in Tonkeris village;
• 600 places in Zhalkamys village;
• 600 places in Koktal village;
• 900 places in Kyziltu village;
