The progress and quality of construction of a comfortable school in Shymkent was inspected by a deputy of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Within the framework of the national project "Comfortable School", construction of 18 facilities is planned in Shymkent. The initiative of the President of the country will allow to create 28 thousand pupil places in one shift. At the moment, active construction of 12 educational institutions is underway, which will be put into operation by the end of 2024.
The progress and quality of construction of modern educational facilities are under strict control. Representatives of the customer Samruk-Kazyna Construction JSC, technical and author's supervision inspect the work on a daily basis. Besides, public control is also conducted. Today, the construction site of a comfortable school in the neighbourhood "Zhana Turlan" visited the delegation of people's elected representatives headed by a member of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Danabek Isabekov.
Construction of the facility, designed for 1200 pupils, is being carried out by Corporation Ak Ordasy LLP. To date, the contracting organisation has completed work on the construction of the frame and started facing. At the same time, interior finishing and landscaping of the future school territory is underway. The developers intend to increase the number of workers on the site to 200, which will speed up the process. The deputies gave a positive assessment of the progress of the national project in the megapolis.
"Within the framework of the election programme, a roadmap for the city of Shymkent has been developed. According to paragraph 34, we are monitoring the quality of construction of objects erected for budget funds. Today we visited a comfortable school for 1200 seats. The works are going well. The educational institution will be delivered on a turnkey basis. The cost of the school includes design, construction and equipment. We have envisaged increased security for children, cameras and an automatic door locking system will be installed," Danabek Isabekov said.
For the Zhana Turlan neighbourhood, the construction of an educational institution is very important. More than 600 families live in the neighbourhood. However, the nearest school is three kilometres away from the microdistrict. Therefore, local residents are looking forward to the commissioning of the facility.
"In 2018, when the city of Shymkent became a metropolis, 42 settlements were included. Of these, 13 microdistricts lack a comprehensive school. The problem in 9 settlements will be solved thanks to the national project "Comfortable School" by the end of 2025. There are no problems with three-shift education in the metropolis, but six schools are overloaded. We expect that this issue will be removed from the agenda after the successful implementation of the pilot project," said Nurgul Shamshieva, head of the Shymkent City Education Department.
9 modern educational institutions are planned to be put into operation by 1 September this year. The rest will open their doors by the end of 2024.
