In Talapker village, located near Astana, a grammar school and an IT school opened their doors on 1 September. Both modern educational institutions were built within the framework of the National Project ‘Comfortable School’ under the supervision of Samruk-Kazyna Construction JSC. About 1800 schoolchildren will start the school year in them, who will be taught by more than 100 teachers.

The three-storey buildings of educational institutions are equipped with modern equipment and all conditions for quality education have been created. In addition to subject classrooms with interactive panels, the schools have workshops and laboratories. To ensure the safety of children, video surveillance cameras, turnstiles and panic buttons have been installed.

The Akim of Akmola region Marat Akhmetzhanov congratulated the pupils of the school-gymnasium on the Day of Knowledge.

‘The project ‘Comfortable School’ initiated by President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev solves the problem of lack of places in schools, creates a comfortable environment for students and teachers and reduces the gap in the quality of education between urban and rural schools. Harmonious and happy childhood of the younger generation is our national task,’ M. Akhmetzhanov said.

Health Minister Akmaral Alnazarova and MP Askhat Aimagambetov congratulated the schools on their opening.
