The first comfortable school was opened in Kostanay region
The first comfortable school was inaugurated in Kostanay region. The school, designed for 900 children, is located in Zarechnoye settlement. The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Akim of the region Rinat Mukhametkali.
This is a long-awaited event for the residents of Zarechnoye settlement. They have been waiting for a modern school for many years. Before that, half of the pupils had to go to the educational institutions of Kostanay and Tobyl, as the local school is designed only for 300 children. Even with the increased load, it was not possible to provide for all students.
Since the second quarter of the school year, children have been studying in their native village. Teachers, parents and children highly appreciated the equipment of the new school. The facility, built as part of the national project ‘Comfortable School’, consists of three floors and provides all the necessary conditions for learning, scientific work, development of creative abilities and active sports. ASTI, a local company, acted as the general contractor.
Among the features of the school are a robotics room, a STEM-lab, a choreography room, a photo and video studio, as well as several workshops for technology lessons. The school has two gyms: a small one for elementary students and a large one for middle, high school students. The entrances to the school are also divided according to the age of the children.
This is the first comfortable school built in Kostanay region. Currently, construction of five more new-format educational institutions is underway in the region. Thanks to the initiative of President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev, an additional 4,500 pupil places will be created in the region
