Paralympian Dastan Mukashbekov visited a new comfortable school in the ‘Keң dala’ neighbourhood of Karaganda city
The meeting with Dastan was an unforgettable event for students and teachers of the school, as he is not only a native of Karaganda, but also a successful athlete who inspires by his example. Dastan Mukashbekov won bronze in the shot put competition at the XVII Summer Paralympic Games. His result was 16 metres.
The event was organised on the initiative of Samruk-Kazyna Construction, where the Paralympic medalist in Paris shared his impressive sporting career, talked about his future plans and gave the children valuable advice on how to achieve their goals. Track and field athlete Dastan Mukashbekov emphasised the importance of perseverance, self-belief and constant striving for development.
After an inspiring talk with the students, Dastan Mukashbekov familiarised himself with the comfortable conditions created at the school and was really impressed. He was particularly impressed by the four sports halls, which provide ideal conditions for sports activities. It should be noted that the educational institution, designed for 2,000 seats, was built within the framework of the national project ‘Comfortable School’ and began its work on 1 September this year.
