The KBI microdistrict has been actively developing in recent years: new houses, social and commercial facilities create a comfortable environment for residents. However, despite this progress, the educational infrastructure remained in the shadows for a long time. In response to the residents' requests, a new school meeting all modern standards was built as part of the national project “Comfortable School”.

Secondary School No. 197 worked in a building that was not originally intended for educational purposes. The two-storey building, built back in the 1980s, functioned as a dormitory. Only in 1995 it was converted into a 400-seat school. However, due to the growing number of children in the neighbourhood, the load on the building was enormous - more than 950 pupils were studying in it. Over time, additions were built, including a sports hall, but problems with space and compliance with modern standards remained.

As a result, it was decided to demolish the old building of School No. 197 and build a brand new, modern school in its place as part of a national project.

The comfortable school erected by the construction company ‘Sat-Service’ LLP occupies an area of more than 8.8 thousand square metres and is designed for 600 pupils. It is not just an educational institution, but a real innovation centre combining traditions and modern technologies.

The new educational institution is characterised by:

- spacious and bright classrooms;

- wide corridors that allow students to move around comfortably;

- lockers for storing students' belongings;

- co-working areas for children and teachers;

- robotics classrooms;

- modern laboratories for the study of natural sciences;

- equipped choreography and sports halls.

The Comfortable School project takes into account not only educational needs, but also creates a space where children can develop their talents and prepare for the challenges of the future. The learning process in the new school will start as early as the third quarter, which will be a long-awaited event for all students and their parents.
