Samruk-Kazyna Construction is negotiating with the Turkish company YDA GROUP on the complex development of a land plot in Astana with an area of 21 hectares.

Today, the delegation of the Turkish company arrived in the capital on a working visit. Maulen Aimanbetov, Chairman of the Board of SK Construction, held talks with Hussein Arslan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of YDA GROUP, during which they discussed possible options for cooperation.

- We are developing the implementation of a major investment project for the development of 21 hectares, owned by the Joint Stock Company. The project is supposed to be implemented according to the “city within a city” principle, which will be unique in its kind and will become a new center of attraction for residents and guests of the city, said the head of SK Construction, presenting the project to Turkish investors.

According to Aimanbetov, the "city within a city" project meets the most modern world requirements. Thanks to such development, social facilities, shops, shopping malls, entertainment and other benefits will be within walking distance for residents of the complex.

- In such projects as "a city within a city", everything is done for the benefit of the person, the resident who lives there. Everything is available there, everything is provided. If the project turns out to be successful, we want to implement it not only in the capital, but also in such large cities as Almaty and Shymkent. I think there will be a need for such development, as cities will become more convenient and compact, - the Chairman of the Board concluded.

The project attracted investors. As a result of the meeting, it was agreed that a YDA GROUP delegation would visit the proposed land plot. In the future, together with Kazakhstani colleagues, they will create a working group and begin developing a draft project.

The Turkish company expressed a desire to participate in the construction of "comfortable schools" through the mechanisms of public-private partnership and the purchase of an object. In other words, the company is ready to build comfortable educational institutions at its own expense, with subsequent redemption by the state.

The parties also discussed joint projects on import substitution and agreed that the companies reached a full understanding on this issue. In the future, the parties intend to sign an agreement on strategic partnership. This document will allow companies to mutually exchange experience. SK Construction specialists will have the opportunity to study in Turkey and master the most modern approaches and technologies in the field of construction. According to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Turkish company Hussein Arslan, YDA GROUP has extensive experience in housing construction.

- We have our own production in Kazakhstan, in which we have invested more than $50 million. There are factories for sandblasting metal and manufacturing sandwich panels. We want to contribute to the development of Kazakhstan's industry, so we can jointly implement projects. It is important for us to have such a strategic partner as Samruk-Kazyna Construction. I would like to invite you to Turkey and show us our real estate projects, Hussein Arslan said.

It should be noted that on May 5, the parties held a preliminary meeting, where representatives of SK Construction got acquainted with the activities of YDA GROUP, including visiting the company's production facilities. According to Maulen Aimanbetov, there is a great prospect for joint activities with Turkish colleagues.

The YDA group of companies was founded in 1954. They have built a huge number of various turnkey facilities in Kazakhstan, including public-private partnerships. Successfully implemented projects include multidisciplinary hospitals, airports, high-tech buildings, industrial facilities, cement plants, roads, bridges, transport interchanges, as well as residential complexes, business centers, shopping malls and cottage villages. YDA GROUP operates in ten areas, providing services at the level of world standards. The company has established itself not only in Kazakhstan, but also in countries such as the UAE, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan and Moldova.
