In total, within the framework of the national project “Comfortable School”, construction of 12 educational facilities is planned in the region.

7 schools will be commissioned by the end of 2024. Developers have already been identified for all these objects. They signed contracts, received an advance payment and began preparatory work on construction.

The Chairman of the Board of Samruk-Kazyna Construction personally got acquainted with the course of preparation during a working visit to the region. Maulen Aimanbetov, together with representatives of the local authorities, inspected several land plots allocated for the construction of comfortable schools.

For example, a comfortable school for 1,200 students will be built in the 15th microdistrict of Taraz. The microdistrict is relatively new, so the school was needed. The contractor has already begun preparing the site for construction: he installed a fence and began mobilizing construction equipment. The Chairman instructed the developer to carry out the removal of the existing engineering networks with subsequent transfer to the LEA.

In the 13th microdistrict, there is also an acute shortage of student places. A similar school will be built here. However, there is a problem with the dismantling of utilities. The Chairman of the Board resolved the issue on the spot: it was agreed that the local executive bodies would deal with the dismantling in an expedited manner. But this is not the only problem.

“We need to get the results of engineering and geological surveys as soon as possible and speed up the design. Otherwise, miss the deadline. Near the site is a long-term construction. For more than 5 years, construction has been frozen. SK Construction has invested funds and will bring the project to completion, - the head of Samruk-Kazyna Construction informed and instructed to combine these two projects.

“I am waiting for proposals from the designers. By the way, it is necessary to provide for a fire passage between buildings, at least 6 meters wide,” Aymanbetov added.

And in the village of Karasu, Kordai district, they are looking forward to when the new comfortable school for 300 places will open its doors. The fact is that the current rural school is overloaded, and children are forced to study in three shifts. However, Maulen Aimanbetov was dissatisfied with the course of preparations for construction and instructed the contractor to rectify the situation.

“I remind you that if you violate the terms of work from the approved schedule for more than 7 days more than twice, we will immediately terminate the contract unilaterally. And we will transfer the construction to another, more responsible company. Such measures are being taken so that all comfortable schools are built and put into operation in a timely manner,” he warned.

It is worth noting that the next day, the contractors began to fulfill all the instructions of the head of SK Construction, and eliminate the identified shortcomings. This once again proves that targeted tours of the regions and discussion of acute problematic issues on the ground is an effective way of interaction between all interested parties, which will make it possible to successfully implement the project.

In total, about 240 thousand children study in 446 schools of the Zhambyl region. There are 4 schools in the region with three-shift training, 1 school is recognized as emergency. And the successful implementation of the national project will create 9.5 thousand additional student places throughout the region. By the way, more than 6 thousand of them will appear after the first stage of implementation.

Aimanbetov also recalled that comfortable schools provide more classrooms and gyms, unlike general education ones. Due to which the buildings will be more spacious and comfortable. For example, if a comfortable school with 300 seats has one gym, then a school with 600 seats will have two.

3 gyms will be equipped in schools with 900 and 1200 seats, and 4 in educational facilities with a larger capacity.

“Comfortable schools will be equipped with modern technological and engineering equipment, educational and office furniture. The project must live up to its name. We will provide maximum comfort and safety for children,” concluded Aimanbetov.
