6 September deputies of the maslikhat of Astana, led by Chairman Yerlan Kanalimov visited the construction sites of a number of comfortable schools under construction in the capital.

People's elected representatives got acquainted with the preparations for the construction of a comfortable school at the intersection of streets A-104 and A-102, as well as an educational institution under construction at the intersection of Sh. Kaldayakov and A-30. Both of these facilities are designed for 2,000 children (4,000 in two shifts) and are located in residential areas where there is an acute shortage of pupil places. These schools will be commissioned by the end of 2024.

During the visit, Amangeldy Sattarov, Deputy Chairman of the Board for the national project and regional development of Samruk-Kazyna Construction JSC, informed about the status of school design and told the deputies in detail about the features and advantages of the new educational institutions.

And yesterday in the maslikhat of Astana there was a heated discussion, where Amangeldy Sattarov spoke at the meeting of the standing commission on social and cultural development. In his report the deputy chairman of Samruk-Kazyna Construction separately dwelt on problematic issues requiring immediate solution. For example, some plots allocated for the construction of educational institutions are limited in area due to dense construction. The capital Akimat needs to speed up the process of joining the neighbouring territories to ensure the most comfortable conditions, including free access to school buildings from four sides.

The deputies assured that they will make every effort to resolve all problematic issues as soon as possible, and the progress and quality of construction of facilities will be constantly monitored.

In total, within the framework of the national project "Comfortable School" in Astana it is planned to build 24 modern educational institutions where about 90 thousand students will be able to study. 23 objects will open their doors by the end of next year, one school is planned to be put into operation in 2025. The schools will be located in all districts of the city, including Urker and Koktal residential areas on the outskirts of the capital.
