It was attended by employees of Samruk-Kazyna Construction JSC and its subsidiaries.

The seminar was organised at the initiative of the management of Samruk-Kazyna Construction in order to implement and strengthen the anti-corruption policy of the company.

The event was attended by employees of Samruk-Kazyna Construction JSC, Samruk-Kazyna Development LLP and PGU Turkestan LLP. Asan Aidarkhanov, an expert of the Prevention Service of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was the speaker.

He explained the requirements of the Law "On Combating Corruption", held a consultation on the prevention of criminal and administrative corruption offences, and answered all questions of interest to employees.

In connection with the implementation of the national project "Comfortable School", the topic of anti-corruption is given special attention. Therefore, this is not the first such seminar. A similar meeting was held in March this year.

Samruk-Kazyna Construction employs an Anti-Corruption Compliance Controller for the proper fulfilment of legal requirements. Also for prevention, avoidance and detection of fraud and corruption there is a "Hot Line".

As the General Director of Samruk-Kazyna Development LLP Nurlybek Uteubaev noted in his speech, favourable working conditions for all employees involved in its implementation are provided within the framework of the national project "Comfortable School" to eliminate corruption risks.

For example, organisations that have won the tender for technical supervision of the construction of comfortable schools are obliged to increase the salaries of experts. The salary of experts carrying out technical supervision in the regions should not be less than 175 MPP or 603,750 tenge, while in the capital and cities of republican significance their salary should not be lower than 235 MPP or 810,750 tenge. This is necessary to eliminate corruption offences and ensure quality supervision of construction and installation work.

Corruption is a negative phenomenon of modern society, which requires constant careful study, a systematic approach and comprehensive counteraction. With the adoption of the Law "On Combating Corruption", a system of measures with a reasonable balance of preventive and criminal legal instruments has been created. Civil society is actively involved in the fight against corruption through anti-corruption education and the creation of an atmosphere of "zero" tolerance for any manifestations of corruption.
