На сегодняшний день в Казахстане от паводка пострадали 7 регионов: Акмолинская, Карагандинская, Актюбинская, Атырауская, Западно-Казахстанская, Костанайская, Павлодарская и Северо-Казахстанская области.

3 comfortable schools were flooded:

  • Comfort school for 1200 places in Kulsary city of Atyrau oblast
  • Comfort school for 300 places in Pugachevo village of West Kazakhstan region
  • Comfort school for 600 places in Petropavlovsk, North Kazakhstan region

On other construction sites the pace of work has been reduced. The main goal is to make every effort to fight the flooding. The most part of labor force and equipment of contracting organizations in the regions affected by floods have been redeployed to contain the natural disaster.

Caspiy Kurylys LTD LLP and Caspian Personnel Association are currently constructing a 6-kilometer long dam in Atyrau region. BatysStroyServis-Atyrau LLP is also involved in the repair of existing dams and construction of new ones. About 100 units of equipment and 50 builders are involved in these works.

The situation in West Kazakhstan region is unfortunately similar. A comfortable school under construction for 300 seats in the village of Pugachevo has gone under water, at other sites of educational institutions the progress of work has slowed down. Companies have relocated to high-risk regions and are carrying out shore protection works and building protective barriers.

Erection of comfortable schools will be continued after stabilization of situation with natural disaster.

In the North Kazakhstan region they have already started to eliminate the flood situation on the site of a comfortable school for 600 pupils. A few days ago, melt water accumulated on the territory of the future educational institution and construction was suspended. Now the site is being backfilled, an internal dam will be built, and then the contractors will pump out the water.
"Samruk-Kazyna Construction" shares the worries of all the people of Kazakhstan and will provide all possible support, including financial.
