Comfortable school being built in a village located on the Kazakhstan-China border
A comfortable school for 300 children is being built in Dostyk settlement of Zhetisu region bordering China within the framework of the pilot national project. Chairman of the Board of Samruk-Kazyna Construction familiarized with the construction progress during his working visit to the region.
In Zhetisu region under the pilot national project "Comfortable School" this year it is planned to put into operation 2 modern educational institutions:
- for 1200 seats in Zharkent town of Panfilov district;
- 600 seats in Dostyk settlement of Alakol district.
On March 31, Maulen Aimanbetov traveled more than 300 kilometers from Almaty to Zharkent. He checked the pace of construction of a comfortable school for 1,200 seats, the contractor of which is BI Global. The head of SKCN instructed to increase the number of workers and organize work in several shifts, as by September 1 the school should be ready to receive children.
At the time of the visit more than 100 people and 9 units of equipment were working at the site. Akim of Panfilov district Marat Sagymbek promised to assist in increasing the number of workers through the local employment center.
From Zharkent, the Chairman of the Board left for Dostyk village of Alakol district (a distance of about 750 km). The settlement, where a comfortable school for 600 children is being built, is located on the border with China. Due to the remoteness and, as a result, difficulties with the supply of materials, the contractor was found only at the second attempt. To date, a contract has been concluded with VentKarkaraServis LLP.
In addition to logistical problems, the construction process is complicated by the local climatic conditions, namely strong and constant wind, which gusts up to 40 meters per second. In this regard, Aimanbetov instructed to revise the design of the future school to take into account the constant wind loads. It should be made of metal to ensure its durability. The contracting organization should provide a schedule of works as soon as possible. The comfortable school in Dostyk village is planned to be commissioned by the end of this year.
It is necessary to provide a spacious parking lot and free passage from four sides together with the construction department of the region. Also, taking into account the difficult climatic conditions of the region, it is instructed to provide in the project a boiler house on liquid fuel and a reserve diesel-generator set.

to sign an agreement on the use of the E-Qurylys information system and to appoint a responsible employee to upload all executive documentation and reports.
